AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected collaboration that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The mission centers on "strange tests and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also brings the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
